Rohtak MC Cracks Down: Rs 10 Lakh Fine on 64 Businesses for Illegal Hoardings

The Rohtak Municipal Corporation (MC) has taken strong action against 64 businesses for flouting advertising regulations. An FIR has been registered against these businesses for failing to pay fines totalling Rs 10 lakh.

These fines stem from the unauthorized erection of hoardings, a violation of the Haryana Prevention of Defacement of Property Act. Despite repeated warnings, the businesses remained non-compliant.

The MC’s action includes not only the levying of fines but also the active removal of illegal advertising displays across the city. This is part of a wider crackdown on unauthorized hoardings.
