PMJAY Funds Flowing: No Disruption to Patient Care, Assures SHA
The State Health Agency (SHA) received a significant boost on August 7, 2025, with pre-authorization claims totaling Rs 2.5 crore processed successfully. This injection of funds underscores the continued commitment to the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) scheme.
Crucially, reports indicate minimal disruption to healthcare services. Hospitals across the state are largely continuing to provide services under the AB-PMJAY umbrella.
Financial settlements are up-to-date, with all payments cleared until May 2025. The SHA has confirmed that pending dues will be settled on a ‘First In, First Out’ (FIFO) basis, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
Importantly, no complaints regarding treatment refusal due to payment issues have been received so far. The SHA has reiterated its commitment to addressing any grievances promptly and efficiently, in strict adherence to National Health Authority (NHA) and SHA guidelines.
This positive update ensures continued access to crucial healthcare services for millions of beneficiaries under the PMJAY scheme, reinforcing its role as a vital social security net. The efficient handling of funds and grievance redressal mechanism are critical for maintaining public trust and ensuring the scheme’s long-term success.
