Chandigarh power firm extends voluntary declaration scheme till Sept 30

Power Consumers Get Extension: Chandigarh Scheme Extended to September

Chandigarh Power Distribution Limited (CPDA) has extended its popular Voluntary Declaration Scheme for domestic and commercial consumers. The deadline has been pushed to September 30, 2025.

This scheme allows consumers to declare their power loads online. This greatly assists CPDA in efficient network planning and resource allocation.

The extension comes alongside a renewed push for decarbonization within the industrial sector. CPDA urged industries to adopt energy-efficient technologies and practices.

This initiative is crucial for Chandigarh’s sustainable energy future. The move will not only improve grid management but also contribute to the city’s overall carbon reduction goals. The success of this scheme will serve as a model for other cities grappling with similar energy challenges.
