Cop Busted: ASI Throws Bribe Money in Dramatic Arrest
Assistant Sub-Inspector Rakesh Kumar of the Delhi Police was arrested on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000. The arrest followed a complaint alleging Kumar demanded the money to avoid falsely implicating a man in a fabricated case.
A meticulously planned trap was laid by the Anti-Corruption Branch. During the arrest, Kumar attempted to dispose of the bribe money, scattering the notes. Some of the currency was reportedly picked up by onlookers.
Kumar is now facing charges under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. He will be produced before a court shortly to face the charges. The incident has sparked outrage and renewed concerns about corruption within law enforcement agencies.
This case underscores the urgent need for stricter accountability measures within the police force to restore public trust and faith in the justice system. The ongoing investigation will hopefully unearth any larger conspiracy and ensure justice is served.
