Gupta Oversees South Delhi’s Mega Development Push
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta chaired a high-level meeting on Friday, September 12, 2025, to review the progress of key development projects in South Delhi. The meeting included senior officials and elected representatives from the area.
Cabinet Minister Sirsa has been tasked with closely monitoring the implementation of these projects. This ensures accountability and timely completion.
Funding for these initiatives comes from the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB), with an allocation of Rs 10-16 crore per constituency.
Elected representatives will play a crucial role, prioritizing projects based on their assessment of local needs. This ensures citizen-centric development.
A significant Rs 1,500 crore has been earmarked for crucial drinking water infrastructure upgrades across the region. This addresses a critical need for improved water supply.
The CM’s proactive approach underscores the government’s commitment to improving South Delhi’s infrastructure and quality of life. This initiative’s success will serve as a model for other urban development projects across the capital.
