Bittu Demands Urgent Abohar Station Upgrade
Congress leader Ravneet Singh Bittu’s recent visit to Abohar on September 15, 2025, highlighted the plight of railway passengers at the local station. He directly addressed the Railway Manager, demanding immediate improvements.
Bittu’s concerns centred on the severe lack of basic amenities for passengers. This includes insufficient facilities despite the high frequency of train halts at Abohar.
The dilapidated condition of the Udyan Abha Toofan Express was another key issue raised. The train, a vital link for many commuters, remains unrestored, adding to passengers’ woes.
The Railway Manager has been instructed to expedite necessary upgrades and address the issues promptly. The situation underscores the need for better oversight of regional railway infrastructure and improved passenger services across Punjab. Failure to act swiftly could lead to further public discontent and impact the upcoming elections.
